What is a Blue Plaque?

Blue Plaques are internationally recognised symbols placed at appropriate sites to commemorate localities, structures, events, or personalities of cultural, historical or natural importance.

 

The Magaliesberg Association for Culture and Heritage (MACH) is responsible for awarding and erecting Blue Plaques at heritage sites in the Magaliesberg Biosphere region and immediate surroundings.

 

This register records the Blue Plaques that have been awarded in the Magaliesberg Biosphere region. They are listed in the order in which they have been erected. More information about each Blue Plaque is available by clicking its name on the list.
